We have to know how the game is played in order to play in it. The game is our economic system. We operate in our economic system on a daily basis but for many of us we have no idea how it functions. We contribute to it but we don’t know how our actions effect it and our own well being. Yes, it is a matter of financial literacy. Yes, it is a matter of understanding our economy and what is happening to it and how does it effect us.

Information is liberating but knowledge is power. Knowledge is the application or regular use of the information that we obtain from various sources. The problem is that the information we obtain from traditional media outlets is often just a regurgitation of those providing the information such as our government, corporations or economists. The analysis is non-existent or worded in a way that we call “Wall Street speak”.

Our economic system is complex and often difficult to understand. That is why we created RebelCapitalist.com. We are here to help people navigate through the complexities of our economic system. We want to provide information about personal finance and our economy in a way that people can understand. “Financial information for The Rest of Us.”

We want to provide information to people so that we can grow our economy in a more sustainable way. If anything this crisis should teach us is that they way we operated in the past doesn’t work and we need to change. RebelCapitalist.com is here to help.
